The UTES Indian New Year Night 2008 was held on 24th of May 2008, Saturday. Our Guest of Honour, Ms Pushpa Latha, Senior Executive, National Library Board graced the occasion with her presence.

The event was organized in conjunction with the Tamil New Year that fell on the 15th of April 2008.  Union members and their families enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Good food and entertaining cultural dances held the attendees attention. The fusion Indian dance by the two Chinese dancers was the highlight of the event. They received a thunderous applause that was certainly well deserved. Members walked away with fabulous prizes at the lucky draw. The night grew long as members grooved to the tunes of the latest Indian music. Many left that night, looking forward to the event again next year…
