As part of the Union’s continuing efforts to assist members in the educational needs of their children, UTES once again offers bursary awards to schooling children of our members. The bursary awards are open to members of UTES, as well as employees in SingTel and SingPost. Application is open on Friday, 27 August 2010.
UTES Bursary Awards has been running for its 25th year since it started in 1985. Through the awards, hundreds of our members’ children have benefited every year. UTES, together with SingTel and SingPost will continue to administer the bursary awards through a joint application and selection process in 2010. This would be the eighth year that the bursary awards are jointly organised with SingTel and a seventh year with SingPost.
The bursary awards are given for Primary, Secondary, ITE, Junior College, Polytechnic and University education in recognized schools and institutions in Singapore. Children who have obtained outstanding academic results for PSLE, GCE’O’ Level and GCE ‘A’ Level in 2009 will have the chance to receive the Merit Book Prizes.
Criteria of Award:
All members of UTES (at least 6 months membership) or confirmed permanent employees (as at 31 July 2010) of SingTel and SingPost may apply for the bursary awards. The selection of awardees will be based on the following criteria:

Application forms and General information
The application form and general information on the bursary awards are available on the UTES website http://www.utes.org.sg . Application forms can also be obtained from UTES HQ during office hours from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm (Mondays to Thursdays) and 8.30 am to 5.30 pm (Fridays).
All applications must be completed and submitted together with the required documents, and reach UTES HQ at 15 Hill Street, Telephone House Complex II, 3rd Storey, Singapore 179352, Attention: Membership Department by Monday, 13 September 2010.
