
The bursary awards are once again open for application to members of UTES, as well as employees in SingTel and SingPost who require financial assistance to meet the schooling needs of their children.
UTES Bursary Awards was started in 1985 to assist deserving schooling children of members who require financial assistance towards their schooling needs. Through the awards, hundreds of our members’ children have benefited every year.
UTES, together with SingTel and SingPost will continue to administer the bursary awards through a joint application and selection process in 2008. This would be the sixth year that the bursary awards are jointly organised with SingTel and a fifth year with SingPost.
The bursary awards are given for primary, secondary, ITE, Junior College, Polytechnic and University education in recognized schools and institutions in Singapore. Children who have obtained outstanding academic results for PSLE, GCE’O’ Level and GCE ‘A’ Level in 2007 will have the chance to receive the Merit Book Prizes.
Conditions of Award:
Schooling children of permanent employees (confirmed in service as at 30 April 2008) may apply for the bursary awards or the book prizes. The selection of awardees will be based on the following criteria:
