1. Hospitalization Reimbursement
UTES provides a reimbursement of $30 for each day of hospitalization for member and $15 per day of hospitalization for member’s spouse or child below 18 years old. Reimbursement will be capped at 30 days per calendar year. Member must have at least 6 months of membership length.
2. Medical Assistance Scheme
Provides financial assistance should member be hospitalized for chronic illnesses. This one-time payment per calendar year ranges from $200-$700 based on the length of membership on a financial year basis.
3. Benevolent Grant
This Scheme provides a payment of $100 upon the demise of member’s legal parents or legal children.
4. Get Well Wishes
A Hamper consisting of beverages, fresh fruits and flowers with UTES “Get-Well” card message will be provided for members who are hospitalized. They are required to contact UTES HQ at 6337 1122 to provide the relevant information. (Name of hospital, block, ward and contact no.)
5. Retirement Gift
Members who retire from service will be granted an amount of $150 as a token of appreciation for their loyal support.
6. Annual Gift
All members will be given a year-end gift in appreciation of their loyal support and participation in UTES activities.
7. General Purpose Loan
UTES members can make a one time payment of $5.00 to join the Co-operative as members, fully returned upon termination of membership. UTES Co-operative members can make use of UTES credit line to cater for their ad-hoc needs such as a holiday getaway or getting new furniture for their house. Under this scheme, member can apply for a loan up to a minimum of $500 and maximum of $2000 at an interest rate of 7% payable over a period of 12 months.
NOTICE - GENERAL PURPOSE LOAN
With reference to the Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Act 2008, all non-credit co-operative are not allowed to offer financial services. As such, UTES Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society Ltd, which is a non-credit Co-operative will not be able to accept application for General Purpose Loan with effect 1st October 2009 until further notice.
We are in the process appealing to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies for exemption to allow us to continue with the General Purpose Loan.
8. Bursary Award
This award serves to provide financial assistance to deserving schooling children of our members and to motivate them to do well in their studies. Every year, UTES provides an estimated total of 400 such awards that amount to an estimated sum of $123,000.
9. Recreational Activities
UTES organizes a wide variety of activities to cater to the diverse interest of its members such as Anniversary Dinner & Dance, Members-Get-Together, Festive Get-Together Sports Events and Community Outreach Programs at its two adopted charities, Gracehaven and Haven. Tickets for these events are heavily subsidized for members.
10. Recreational Benefit at Costa Sands Resort@Downtown East
Members can now book a chalet with UTES at discounted rates and enjoy a leisure stay at the Costa Sands Resort (Downtown East).

11. Members in lower income brackets will also be eligible to apply for NTUC affiliated vouchers like the Back to school and Public transport / Public Utilities through their respective union.
