December 2005 - Issue 21
 HIGHLIGHTS |
UTES 23rd Anniversary Dinner & Dance |
|
It was a night of glitz and glamour at UTES 23rd Anniversary Dinner & Dance held at Orchard Hotel, Grand Ballroom, Level 3 on 2 December 2005, Friday, 6.30 pm. The theme of the Dinner & Dance was “Glitterati”. Mr Lim Boon Heng, Secretary-General, NTUC and Minister, Prime Minister’s Office graced the occasion as the Guest-of-Honour. Distinguished guests included representatives from the NTUC Central Committee, various unions and the management. A total of 800 guests attended the event.
The evening started off with an inspiring Dikir Barat segment performed by members of the Young UTES. Guests enjoyed the sumptuous 8-course dinner and engaging games immensely. A plethora of lucky draw prizes was also up for grabs. All in all, members had a most enjoyable evening of fun, food and games!
Last but not least, Young UTES wrapped up the evening with a Chinese rendition of “Zhen Xin Yin Xiong”, meaning “True Heroes” as a tribute to the unsung heroes in the labour movement. We look forward to members’ continued support in future events in 2006!
